ADAMSON (OLSON), INGEBORG -. Peacefully on May 25th, 2016, Ingeborg Adamson passed away at Pinecrest Home for the Aged. She is survived by daughter Arlene Ortiz (Carlos), sons Bill (Donna) and Barry (Sharon) and grandchildren Janelle and Brett. She was predeceased by her husband Alfred of seventy years (passing in 2010), son Allan, her siblings Tillie Wallin, Esther Carlson, Christina Olson, Iner Olson, Carl Olson and Julie Lund, parents Knute and Kassandra Olson, sister-in-law Ingrid Gustafson. Mom was born November 19th, 1921 in Kenora Ontario, in Pellatt Township. Mom spent her early years on the Olson farm at Culloden Lake. On May 25th, 1940, Mom married Dad and moved to the Adamson farm in Laclu, where she helped with the daily chores, feeding, milking and raising the dairy cattle. Mom was a great cook, hosting many family events over the years. Her Swedish breads, pickled herrings, many varieties of pickles and jams were always enjoyed by guests. Mom’s hobbies included knitting, crocheting and maintaining her large gardens of vegetables and flowers. Family meant a lot to Mom, not just her immediate family, but the family of her siblings and many friends. She was a very caring person. Her biggest joy was her two grandchildren and she always made sure they always had a good supply of cookies and treats. Before moving to Pinecrest, Mom lived for 5 years in the Parkview apartment building in Kenora and enjoyed visiting with the many friends she had in the building. The family would like to thank Dr. Wehner, Dr. Wiebe and the staff of Pinecrest who cared for Mom. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday June 1, 2016 from Pinecrest Home for the Aged at 11 am. In lieu of flowers and if friends so desire, contributions to the Pinecrest Ladies Auxillary or the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
