Peter (Grant) Burrows
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather and great grandfather Grant Burrows on Sunday Nov. 27, 2022. Dad was born in Viscount Sask. June 21, 1928. He was the fourth of five children. His family eventually moved to Edmonton, where dad finished high school and joined the R.C.M.P. shortly after graduation. He was stationed on the east coast before being transferred to Windsor, Ont. Where he met and married the love of his life Joan. Dad had to leave the Mounties before they married as it wasn’t allowed for constables to be married at that time. Dad worked at Ford Motor Company for a while before getting into insurance. This job took him from Windsor to Thunder Bay and then to Kenora. Dad was a member of the Kenora Legion and the Lake of the Woods Lions club. Dad was predeceased by mom, who he pined for since her death in 2017. He was also predeceased by his eldest son Edward (Ted), son in law Joseph Masotti, one brother, one sister and their spouses, several nieces and nephews and sister in law and brother in law Betty and Roger Osborne.
Dad is survived by his 3 remaining children, Daughters Pam Masotti (Mark, Monica, Viv and Aida) all of Winnipeg, Brenda & Bob Allan Keewatin, (Melissa and baby Otis) Edmonton, (Mathew & Whitney and our new little girl coming on Dec 4) Thunder Bay. Son David and Judy (Lee, Bianca, Declan, Ivadell and Merida) Trenton, Ont. Ted’s children Mike and Lauren (Mackayla and Mackenzie), Jennifer and Brent Richards (Katie and Brody) all of Thunder Bay. He has a sister Edna and Pat Ledgerwood Edmonton and brother Jim of Richmond B.C. As per dad’s wishes there is no service just a family gathering at a later time.
