Terresa Stevenson
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, sister, grandmother and great- grandmother, Therese (Terresa, Terry) Stevenson (nee Leroux) of Kenora, Ontario. Terry passed away on November 29, 2022, at the age of 85. After a valiant fight with cancer for the past 2 years, Terry died peacefully at the Lake of the Woods Hospital.
Terry was born on July 28, 1937 in Kenora, Ontario to the late Edward and Corinne Leroux. She met her late husband James when he was stationed in Kenora and she was working at the Town Office. Dad’s charm was no match for mother and it was a love story that spanned more than 57 years. She was the proud mother of James (Kathy), Christopher, Kyle (Morgan);Lori, (Dave), Lexie (Steven), Shan (Jessica), and Shaun (Teresa) Parker and Paige. She was also the very proud great grandmother of Oliver and Spencer (Lexie and Steven) and Tucker and Malia (Shan and Jessica). Mom made it very clear, that her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her love and light.
One of nine children, Terry will be sadly missed by many including her brothers Leon (Janice) Leroux, Marcel Leroux, and sister Eva (Bob) Beda, numerous sister in laws, and nieces and nephews.
Terry was known for her love of volunteering, curling, traveling and entertaining with her friends. For 25 years she and Jim would travel to California to “escape” the cold winter – but never before Christmas which was a spiritual holiday not to be missed! The memories are many, and she had no regrets.
Rest in peace Terry, be with your beloved.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Notre Dame Catholic Church or Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation. A mass will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 11 am.
