Donald Mills

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald (Don) Mills after a brief but valiant fight with cancer on January 25, 2021.

Born in Winnipeg MB on March 16, 1942, Dad spent his early years on his grandparent’s farm in Bergland ON. Dad worked most of his life in the bush.  Starting with a single horse in the woods to a 550HP truck and trailer.  Soon after marrying Karin he worked on the Winnipeg floodway, spent many years in Camp 314 and Camp Robinson before making his final move to Kenora where he hauled wood for many years. One very proud moment for him was being named Trucker of the Year! Dad loved Lake of the Woods and fishing with anyone that would go fishing with him. It was not often that we could out fish him. It gave him great joy to be on the water.  Camping was another love of Dad's.  A perfect day was fishing, shore lunch and camping.

Don leaves to mourn his wife of 56 years, Karin Mills, Children Donna (Kim), Dean (Julie) and Grandchildren, Logan, JD and Ciara.
