It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leonard John King (May 18, 1929-Oct 11, 2016). He is predeceased by his wife Mae King, son Brian King, and daughter Jenny Longe. He will be deeply missed by his son Albert King (Pam), daughter Theresa King, grandchildren Melissa (Adam), Jeff (Kelsi), Derrick (Ashlynn), and Travis, and great grandchildren Halle, Natasha, Amelia, Kaden, and Olivia, as well as his extended family and friends too numerous to count. Leonard was born on Lake of the Woods and spent his entire life on the water. He was a successful commercial fisherman and was a gifted mechanic, welder, and could fix anything. He always had the coffee pot on, and his home always had an open door for family, friends and neighbours. Leonard will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humour and the twinkle in his beautiful blue eyes.
A Celebration of Life will held downstairs at the First Baptist church, 510 2nd St S, this Saturday October 15th 2016 from 2-5pm.
Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation in Leonard’s honour.
