They settled in Keewatin and raised their two children, moving to Winnipeg in 1962. Following Jack’s passing in 1979, Jean Travelled to Utah to visit her sister Marge. It was there, she met and married Joe. Together they began an adventure with their horses and sheep in the mountains of Utah. In 2002 Jean and Joe retired to Keewatin where they spent many relaxing summers at their cabin on the river. Mom was happiest cooking holiday dinners for her family, swimming with her wonderful neighbors, and working in her yard.
The family would like to thank the doctors at the Keewatin Medical Clinic, and the wonderful nursing staff on the second floor of the Lake of the Woods District Hospital. A private family service will be held at a later date.
