On July 26th, 2018, with his family by his side, Peter Breed peacefully passed away at Lake of the Woods District Hospital.
Peter leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 38 years Tanis and his two daughters, the apples of his eye, Terri (Matthew) Podolas and Angela Breed (Kyle Hawkes). He also leaves to mourn sister Joan of Kenora, his brother Ken (Debbie) of Alberta, his mother in law, Maureen McDonald of Kenora, his sisters in law Tara (Micheal) Anderson, Sandra (Les) Hiebert and Georgina (Robert) Toews as well as nieces and many nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Helen Breed and his father in law, Terry McDonald.
Peter was born in Kenora on March 23, 1951. He was self-employed as a Marine Mechanic having operated Clearwater Bay Marina until his health prevented him from continuing. He also worked many years in construction. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting. He looked forward to opening season every year so he could get out in the boat to get the “big one”.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Mandy Spencer and the staff at Woodlands Medical for all their caring support. Words cannot express the appreciation Peter and his family had for Dr. David Rush and the Renal Transplant Team at the Health Sciences Center in Winnipeg. As well a special thank you to Dr. Brad Kyle and the staff of Second East.
As per Peters request, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Transplant Manitoba Gift of Life Trust Fund, the Canadian Diabetes Association or a Charity of one choice would be appreciated.
