Elior (Ed) Roger DeGagne
May 20, 1932 to September 27, 2017. Died peacefully in hospital with his wife Theresa and his family by his side. He was predeceased by his oldest son Dan and daughter Annette, and grandson Bobby. He is survived by his daughters Suzanne (Robert Thibodeau), Paulette (Wes Michalchuk), Claudette Edie (Keith Loucks) and Claire (Wally Lindquist), as well as his two sons Luke (Lisa DeGagne) and Mark (Kim DeGagne). His family extends to 19 grand children, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grand child.
Ed and Terry came to Kenora in 1959, and established several businesses together while raising their family. As an entrepreneur, Ed was proud to have sold such products as John Deere, Hyundai, Ford and Honda, as well as other successful ventures in construction materials and forestry, but he was most happy when he was with family: with his many children, grandchildren and great grand children. Always imparting life lessons with humour and humility.
Ed will be remembered as a community minded citizen through his involvement with the church, Knights of Columbus, and Town council at Jaffray-Mellick
