Harold Andrew Roberts

 

Harold Andrew Roberts passed away August 19, 2019 at his place of residence at Birchwood Terrace Nursing Home.  Harold was born July 15, 1957 and lived most of his life in Kenora.  He worked with his father in the family logging and lumber business and was late employed with Devlin Timber and McDiarmid Lumber.  He was a very hard worker and always did his best.

Harold always enjoyed talking with people and with his new friends and staff at Birchwood.  He loved the activities there.

Predeceased by his father Victor, mother Thelma (Johnson) Roberts, and infant brother, John and sister Shirley.  He is also predeceased by his grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles. 

Harold is survived by his sister Dolly Skrobel, husband Dan of Arizona and their four children Amanda, Allana, Angela and Dan Jr.  Also surviving are two Aunt Marys in Winnipeg as well as numerous cousins.   

The family are very grateful to, and would like to thank cousin Chuck Wyder and wife Shannon for having Harold live with them.  They took good care of him before his move to Birchwood.  Special thanks to the Birchwood staff and the residents who became Harold's friends.  Also a big thank you to Dr. Tim Wehner for doing all he could for Harold.  

At Harold's request, Alcock Funeral Home & Cremation Services is entrusted with his cremation, there will be a private graveside service at a later date.  Donations appreciated to any charity of choice.  Thank you to all who were a part of Harold's life.

We will remember Harold's greeting words:  "You're looking good".
