Bill Zabloski passed away Thursday January 31st, 2019 at Lake of the Woods District Hospital peacefully with his loving wife and family by his side.
He was born March 17, 1935 to Steven and Frances Zabloski.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Mary (Kolshuk), daughter Susan (Will Campbell), granddaughters Nicole (John Hay), Heather and Bailey (Keith McIntyre), daughter Lisa (Mike Kruz), granddaughter Amber (Chris Mak), great grandson Boden Mak and grandson Riley Kruz.
Bill was predeceased by many members of the Zabloski and Kolshuk families. He is survived by sisters Mary Strawa, Anne Gosse (Bob), brother Deke Zabloski (Dorothy), sister-in-laws Doreen Zabloski, Rose Zabloski, Belinda Kolshuk and many nieces and nephews.
Bill worked at the Ministry of Transportation for well over 30 years retiring at the age of 58. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church and spent many hours bringing smiles to the friends of Pinecrest Home for the Aged visiting and running Bingo there.
Bill, or Gigi as many knew him was very proud of his family and all they accomplished in life. He loved when his great grandson Boden would sit on his knee if only for a moment.
The family would like to thank the Kenora Paramedics, emergency, ICU, Physio and the entire 3rd East staff at Lake of the Woods District Hospital for their care and compassion they had for Bill.
Cremation has taken place, a memorial mass will be held at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church Saturday February 16th, 2019 at 11:00 with Father Serhii Koval officiating.
