Joe was born in Germany on July 28, 1957, he spent his younger days involved in athletics and his studies.  He earned many degrees and became an accomplished carpenter, mason, metaloligist, welder and pilot.  He also was able to build a car and paint it as well.  While here on a visit from Germany, Joe fell in love with Canada, Kenora in particular moving here in 1996.  Anyone who knew Joe appreciated that he was an extremely hard worker and took a lot of pride in his workmanship.  Joe loved our forests and waterways and enjoyed hunting and fishing on his property.  Joe also took a lot of pride in making homemade sausages and smoked venison.  If you shook Joe's hand you never forgot him.
