Harold (Hal) QUIN

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Harold (Hal) Arthur Quin on June 28, 2022, at Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora, Ontario.

Hal will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 56 years, Carole,

and by his children, Steven (Nicole), Kelly (David)and grandchildren, Tyler, Dana (Logan), Kristen, Jaime (Josh)and Celine (Colton). He is also survived by his younger sister, Louise. He will also be missed by his loving, little dog, Chewie.

Hal was a true Maritimer who was born on April 12, 1938, in Halifax, Nova Scotia to Kenneth and Lena Quin. He never lost his love for the ocean and his Maritime roots.

He had a rewarding career in Sales and Marketing with 3M Canada for 26 years which took him and his family to Toronto, London, Vancouver, and Winnipeg. Prior to that he was with Honeywell Controls in Toronto for 12 years.

He was a highly skilled wood carver, an avid reader who loved fishing and playing the guitar. He will always be remembered for his sense of humour and quick wit at family gatherings.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service. A private family memorial is planned for a later date.

We would like to extend our appreciation to Dr. Wehner and Dr. Wiebe at the Keewatin Medical Clinic along with Charlene Melillo and the 3rd floor nurses at Lake of the Woods District Hospital for their care and compassion.
