Rodger Preston Morton July 4, 1953, 2022
It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Rodger Morton. Rodger lost his battle with COPD on February 6, 2022 at the age of 68. He is predeceased by his father John Morton and his mother Venola Morton. He leaves behind his loving wife Denise and his two furry babies (cats) Homer and Sybil. He also leaves behind his best friend Darril Corbett who helped us out a lot through out the years.
In the early 70's he began his career in television as a post production editor. He moved to Vancouver for a short period and then moved to Calgary where he worked for Global TV for 34 years. While in Calgary, Rodger obtained his Pilot's Licence. He loved to fly, going to the gun range and camping in the mountains with his friends, He retired early at the age of 54, then moved back to Kenora to take care of his ailing father.
In 2009 he met the love of his life, Denise. They married on September 26, 2011. Rodger also loved to garden, RVing and fires in the early evenings. Most of all he loved to make people laugh. He will be dearly missed.
